I’ve decided to close this blog down – the posts will remain, but I’ll not be posting any more. I will however be posting on “From Brexit to Ex-Brit” at www.frombrexittoexbrit.com – about my progress in taking Austrian citizenship. The new blog will be less about my thoughts on Brexit and more about the decision of and process involved in naturalising. Thanks for reading this blog and see you on the other site!

A letter to my (still?) MP




In order to try to raise awareness of the Overseas Voter issue, particularly in light of the withdrawing of the Overseas Voters Bill after its second reading in the House of Commons, I contacted the MP of my last constituency, Rebecca Pow, to draw her attention to my plight.

Ms. Pow is currently undecided on whether to back the “In” or “Out” campaign.

The Spectator: the yes, no and undecided Tories

A piece on the website of the Spectator in its blogs section, published on 16th February, ahead of the official announcement about the referendum, lists the Conservative MPs in the various camps “Yes”, “No” and “undecided”. The list pre-dates the actual announcement of the referendum date – I note that the list does not have the Attorney General’s stance listed correctly.
