Today there is a Private Members Bill before the House of Commons, in its second reading, tabled by the Rt. Hon. Christopher Chope (Conservative MP for Christchurch and a fellow St Andrews graduate).
The Overseas Voters Bill still has a long way to go before it clears parliament with Royal Assent and I remain someone cautious of its progress in time for the Referendum, particularly in light of the fact that nearly 8 months passed being its first and second reading. Watch this space…
